Nicholas Herald had one job to do for his big sister’s wedding. ONE. So of course, he forgets all about promising to book the harpist he knows for the elegant reception. With only a week to go, and his options running out fast, he resorts to asking a busker he finds performing on the city streets to step in and help save the day.

As it turns out though, this guy Fynn is pretty amazing with his guitar, and he has the most beautiful eyes – not that Nicholas is looking. But it becomes quickly apparent that finding a musician is the least of Nicholas’s problems. Between last minute cancellations, wayward family members, and a cat with a serious vendetta against happiness, he knows he’ll be lucky if they all make it to the big day intact.

He just doesn’t have time to fall in love, let alone with a boy However, like almost everything else in the week to come, he may not exactly have a choice…

A stand alone, New Adult romance with a happy ending.

5 out of 5 (exceptional)

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

I am LOVING this run of books that find themselves on the "too stinking cute" shelf!!

Nicholas had but ONE job: book his mate's sister to play the harp for Clara's wedding. A week before, and he forgot, totally and ends up hiring the busker with the guitar and the smooth voice. But hiring Fynn doesn't stop the list of things that go wrong. What with an overbearing Maid of Honour, a cat that hates everyone and everything, and the Britsih weather wishing to dump the entire contents of the clouds down for three days, Nicholas wonders if there will even BE a wedding!

I don't usually much care for main characters who are late teens/early 20s and both Nicholas and Fynn are here, but I LOVED these guys! Or rather, I loved Nicholas. Because Fynn doesn't get a say. And yes, I KNOW you don't want me to say it, but I GOTTA!!! Had Fynn had his say too, I have no doubt this would have been a 5 star read, none at all.

The story flows well, with everything going wrong for the wedding told in a highly believable way. Very British things, but things that could and do happen to anyone.

Nicholas (oh and many Brownie points for not shortening Nicholas!)  finds himself in the course of the week spent in this book. He discovers many things about himself and his friends that make for a very, VERY great read. I LOVED how his relationship with Fynn moves. LOVED how it was written, how it all came across and just LOVED it!

Ah sod, it, I wrote 4.5 stars, at the top of the page, but ONLY because Fynn doesn't get a say, but now I'm typing it up....

5 full stars!
